Robotics & AI Discovery Day is focused this year on B2B programming, industry connections, and helping deep tech companies commercialize.
School district field trips, student bus groups, and organized K–12 school visits are not being accepted for 2026. The STEM Zone is being scaled back as the event shifts toward business development, customer discovery, investment, partnerships, and talent connections across robotics, AI, autonomy, and advanced manufacturing.
Children under 18 may still attend, but only with a parent or guardian. Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times while onsite. Young children under the age of 14 are encouraged to not attend.
FIRST Robotics teams are still encouraged to participate in the annual exhibition.
Robotics & AI Discovery Day takes place at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on September 16, 2026.

Robotics & AI Discovery Day is primarily designed for business, technology, commercialization, and career exploration. The 2026 event experience is generally best suited for advanced high school aged students and adults who are interested in robotics, AI, advanced manufacturing, entrepreneurship, and deep tech careers.

Because organized student groups are not permitted, there will not be designated bus drop-off or pick-up logistics for school groups this year.
Individual attendees, including parents or guardians attending with minors, should use standard public entrances and follow general arrival guidance provided before the event.

Yes. Children under 18 may attend only with a parent or guardian and must be directly accompanied and supervised at all times while onsite.
Organized student groups, school district field trips, and student bus groups are not permitted at the 2026 event, so teacher or staff chaperone plans will not be accepted as a substitute for parent or guardian supervision.
Video footage and photos will be taken during this event, which may or may not include your recognizable image. Please be advised that by registering for this event, you permit the Pittsburgh Robotics Network to use these images in print, digital, or web based formats in publications or other media produced, used, or contracted by PRN for promotional and archival purposes.
