Robotics & AI Discovery Day is free and open to the public. Whether you are a business leader, jobseeker, student, investor, educator, or simply curious about the future of technology, this event is designed to help you explore and experience the region’s robotics and AI ecosystem firsthand.

At the event, attendees can discover robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing technologies through live demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and conversations with the companies, organizations, and institutions helping shape this region’s innovation economy.

General Attendance is a great fit for individuals attending on their own, families, professionals, investors, community members, and anyone interested in learning more about how these technologies are being applied across industries.

Parents, Students, Teachers, and Schools

Parents and guardians who plan to attend with children, as well as schools and organized student groups, should review the Students & Schools page before attending.

Large unregistered groups of children are not permitted under General Attendance.

Any school, youth organization, camp, or other organized student group must register in advance and follow student group attendance guidelines. This requirement helps us maintain a safe, well-organized experience for all attendees.

How much does it cost to attend?

Pittsburgh Robotics Discovery Day is free to attend. Registration is required for entry.

Who should attend this event?

Robotics & AI Discovery Day is free and open to the public. It is designed for individuals of many ages, backgrounds, experience levels, and education levels who want to explore and engage with robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing in our region.

This event is a strong fit for business professionals, investors, jobseekers, students, educators, community members, and families attending in small household groups.

Parents and guardians bringing children are welcome, but large organized student groups must register in advance through the Students & Schools page. Large unregistered groups of children are not permitted under General Attendance. Schools & large groups must register their attendance.

How do I register to attend?

Attendees must pre-register online.

Can I register on-site as a walk-in?

Yes. While we strongly recommend all attendees pre-register online to help expedite entry and maximize your time in the exhibit hall, on-site registration is free and will be available for walk-ins.

Can I bring children or a student group?

Parents and guardians may attend with children.

Large unregistered groups of children are not permitted under General Attendance. Schools, youth organizations, camps, homeschool groups, and other organized student groups must register in advance and follow the guidance provided on the Students & Schools page.

Please review the Students & Schools page before attending if you plan to visit with children or as part of any organized youth group.

Where can I park?

Limited on-site parking is available in a dedicated parking garage connected to the convention center. Refer to https://www.pittsburghcc.com/directions-parking/ for details regarding parking and directions. Parking fills up fast, so please also check real-time parking options available in other nearby garages in the downtown area at www.ParkPGH.org

What are the venue's bag, pet, nursing, or other policies?

To learn more about specific venue policies, please refer to the DLCC's FAQ page.

Is there a dress code?

There is no required dress code for entry to this event. However, if you are attending as a potential jobseeker, ‘smart casual’ attire is recommended. While you are not required to wear formal business attire, we kindly request that you avoid overly casual items such as shorts, sweatshirts or flip-flops to put your best self forward.

Where can I find the schedule?

The event will occur on September 16th, 2026. A more detailed event schedule for other activities being held onsite will be added to the event website at a later date. Check back for more details.

What companies and organizations will be exhibiting?

Robotics & AI Discovery Day will feature robotics, AI, and advanced manufacturing companies, along with career and training pathway providers, community organizations, startup support programs, and industry partners.

Attendees can expect live technology demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and opportunities to learn how these technologies are being applied across multiple industries.

Will there be food and beverage available for purchase?

Yes, concessions will be open onsite from 10am-3pm.

NOTE: Credit cards are the only form of payment accepted, no cash.

I’m traveling from out of town to attend. Are there hotels nearby?

We’re excited to have you join us in Pittsburgh! Some hotels within walking distance of this location are The Westin Pittsburgh and the Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh Downtown.
