Pittsburgh Robotics Discovery Day is free to attend. Registration is required for entry.
Robotics & AI Discovery Day is free and open to the public. It is designed for individuals of many ages, backgrounds, experience levels, and education levels who want to explore and engage with robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing in our region.
This event is a strong fit for business professionals, investors, jobseekers, students, educators, community members, and families attending in small household groups.
Parents and guardians bringing children are welcome, but large organized student groups must register in advance through the Students & Schools page. Large unregistered groups of children are not permitted under General Attendance. Schools & large groups must register their attendance.
Attendees must pre-register online.
Yes. While we strongly recommend all attendees pre-register online to help expedite entry and maximize your time in the exhibit hall, on-site registration is free and will be available for walk-ins.
Parents and guardians may attend with children.
Large unregistered groups of children are not permitted under General Attendance. Schools, youth organizations, camps, homeschool groups, and other organized student groups must register in advance and follow the guidance provided on the Students & Schools page.

Limited on-site parking is available in a dedicated parking garage connected to the convention center. Refer to https://www.pittsburghcc.com/directions-parking/ for details regarding parking and directions. Parking fills up fast, so please also check real-time parking options available in other nearby garages in the downtown area at www.ParkPGH.org

There is no required dress code for entry to this event. However, if you are attending as a potential jobseeker, ‘smart casual’ attire is recommended. While you are not required to wear formal business attire, we kindly request that you avoid overly casual items such as shorts, sweatshirts or flip-flops to put your best self forward.
The event will occur on September 16th, 2026. A more detailed event schedule for other activities being held onsite will be added to the event website at a later date. Check back for more details.
Robotics & AI Discovery Day will feature robotics, AI, and advanced manufacturing companies, along with career and training pathway providers, community organizations, startup support programs, and industry partners.
Attendees can expect live technology demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and opportunities to learn how these technologies are being applied across multiple industries.

Yes, concessions will be open onsite from 10am-3pm.

Frequently Asked Questions for Schools
This event takes place at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Hall C, 1000 Fort Duquesne Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
Upon arrival, enter through the East Lobby entrance and proceed to School Check In near Hall C. Follow posted signage onsite.
Student groups will report to the STEM Zone in Hall C for age appropriate demonstrations and activities.
Guided tours of the exhibitor floor will be provided throughout the day as available. These tours are designed to help students engage safely and meaningfully with the broader event experience.
This keeps the current intent but removes the unnecessarily rigid “groups of 15 students at a time” detail unless you know that is still operationally accurate for 2026. The current live page includes that number, but it may be too specific if the format changes.
Robotics & AI Discovery Day is designed with a business, technology, and career exploration focus. The event experience is generally best suited for high school aged students.
All school and organized student groups must register in advance so our team can plan for arrival, supervision, and the best possible student experience.
Organized groups of students under 14 are not permitted. Parents and guardians may still choose to attend with younger children, but those children must be directly accompanied and supervised by the appropriate number of responsible adults at all times.
Buses may drop off and pick up students at the East Lobby on 10th Street. After entering the East Lobby, follow signs to Hall C.
Dedicated bus parking is not provided by PRN. Schools should contact the David L. Lawrence Convention Center directly to ask about bus parking options and day-of logistics. More info here.
Limited space is available for schools to store lunches during the event. Please bring lunches in a clearly labeled container, such as a bin, basket, or box, so your group’s lunches stay together in the designated storage area. Because space is limited, please do not include non-lunch items. Personal belongings such as shoes, jackets, backpacks, and other loose items may not be stored in this area.
Schools may bring packed lunches. Please label each lunch container with your school’s name.
Outside restaurant food is not permitted under Convention Center rules. A Convention Center concession stand may also be available onsite. Please note that the facility is cashless, so students who plan to purchase food should be prepared to use an accepted cashless payment method.
Teachers, school staff, and organizers of student groups must register in advance using the Robotics & AI Discovery Day School Group Registration Form.
You do not need to provide student names, but we do need an accurate attendance estimate for students and chaperones so we can plan accordingly.
Yes. Student groups must be accompanied by a sufficient number of teachers, staff, or other responsible adults to actively supervise students throughout the visit.
Parents and guardians attending with children are also responsible for direct supervision at all times.
Groups are expected to attend during their selected time slot: 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, or 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
Schools bringing high school aged students can request transportation reimbursement via the Robotics & AI Discovery Day School Group Registration Form. Reimbursement of up to $400 may be available for groups of 20+ students. Someone from our team will follow up with next steps after you complete the form.
