Pittsburgh as an AI Triangle?
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette recently penned an article about what is tentatively being called the “AI Triangle”, a partnership between Pittsburgh, Boston, and Montreal. Each of these cities are becoming increasingly known for their work in tech.
The purpose of the triangle? Further collaboration
Pittsburgh sits about 600 miles between the cities, but proponents cite non-stop flights as a work-around.
“It speeds access to the market, customers and investors,” said Brian Kennedy, senior vice president for operations and government affairs for the Pittsburgh Technology Council
The plan has been in talks for about a year, but still in the early stages of implementation. Ideas for the collaboration include possible artificial intelligence startup accelerator, a student fellowship for universities, or a set of guidelines that outline each city’s ethical practices and policies.
