The Pittsburgh Robotics Network (PRN) is proud to once again partner with and participate in the 2024 Robotics Summit & Expo, demonstrating Pittsburgh’s leadership in robotics on a global stage. This year’s event, set to unfold on May 1st and 2nd at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, serves as a showcase of robotics technology and features conversations that promise to shape the future of innovation.

Pittsburgh Robotics Network executive director Jennifer Apicella will take the stage for a dynamic panel titled “Paving the Road to Success in Robotics Commercialization.” Scheduled for May 1st at 11:30 am in Room 257B, this panel includes fellow robotics leaders Brandon Contino, Co-founder & CEO of Four Growers, and Stephen Muck, Founder & Executive Chairman of Advanced Construction Robotics. Moderated by Andy McMillan, Chair of Cirtronics’ Board of Directors, and drawing on the diverse backgrounds of its participants—from agriculture to construction and entrepreneurship— the discussion will center around crucial industry challenges such as overcoming obstacles, scaling operations, and transforming innovative ideas into market-ready solutions. The audience will walk away from the talk with actionable insights and proven strategies for navigating the complex robotics landscape.

As the Robotics Summit & Expo continues to attract some of the brightest minds and leading companies in robotics, it provides an invaluable platform to learn, share, and connect. The PRN’s sponsorship and collaboration in this event is indicative of our commitment to advance the global robotics landscape.

Adding to the excitement, the RBR50 Robotics Innovations Awards will spotlight global robotics achievements, with Pittsburgh companies such as Advanced Construction Robotics and Neya Systems receiving accolades and Agility Robotics’ Digit humanoid being named the inaugural Robot of the Year.

Several other Pittsburgh Robotics organizations, such as Latitude AI, Mapless AI and Main Street Autonomy, will also be featured at the Robotics Summit & Expo, reflecting the city’s robust robotics, automation, and AI ecosystem.
