Membership Engagement Manager
The Pittsburgh Robotics Network (PRN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the growth and success of the Pittsburgh region’s robotics and deep tech business ecosystem. Position Summary
PRN seeks an experienced and results-driven professional to serve as Member Engagement Manager. This full-time role focuses on strategically growing membership and increasing engagement opportunities with key stakeholders, including members, partners, sponsors, investors, government officials, and corporate affiliates. The role directly supports programmatic expansion and revenue growth while strengthening the network’s reach and impact.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excelling in outreach, communications, community building, and relationship management. This individual must be comfortable leading multi-channel engagement initiatives and supporting revenue-generating activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesStakeholder Engagement & Membership Growth
- Develop and implement strategies to engage, retain, and expand PRN membership and sponsorship offerings in alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct direct outreach and manage digital campaigns to drive participation in events, conferences, media opportunities, speaking engagements, and other key initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for membership inquiries, managing all stages of engagement—from initial outreach to ongoing relationship management.
- Identify, qualify, and cultivate relationships with potential members, sponsors, and partners through proactive outreach and inbound inquiries.
- Collaborate with leadership to design and implement innovative program offerings that address industry trends and stakeholder needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of membership activities using CRM and association management systems (HubSpot, Asana, etc.).
Event & Program Engagement
- Plan and execute member-focused events, forums, and committees, ensuring high-value engagement opportunities for stakeholders.
- Work with the team to enhance member participation in new and existing events and programs.
- Support the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications initiatives to promote PRN events and services.
- Represent PRN at industry conferences, networking events, and partner meetings to strengthen relationships and drive membership growth.
Revenue Development & Relationship Management
- Oversee membership program benefits to ensure value delivery, operational feasibility, and alignment with revenue goals.
- Assist in setting annual fundraising targets, forecasting revenue, and developing engagement strategies to drive financial sustainability.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify partnership opportunities that enhance PRN’s mission and deliver added value to stakeholders.
- Support the development of sponsorship proposals, partnership agreements, and other revenue-generating initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and stakeholder feedback to refine PRN’s engagement strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
- 7+ years of experience in membership engagement, business development, sponsorship sales, or association management.
- Prior experience in industry associations, entrepreneurship support programs, economic development, or technology business development is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in relationship management, revenue growth, and program development.
- Strong experience setting and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and presentations.
- Proficiency with CRM and project management tools (HubSpot, Asana, Google Workspace, Harvest, Zoom, Canva).
- Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen, with an understanding of the relationships between robotics businesses, manufacturers, suppliers, and automation end-users.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
Additional Information
- Employment Type: Full-time, salaried position (compensation negotiable based on experience and skills).
- Work Environment: Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote); some evening events required.
- Location: Must reside in Southwestern Pennsylvania, with a valid PA driver’s license.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for up to 4 hours and lift up to 30 lbs when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
